Looks to be safe then. The biggest concern is when people use pipe solder flux on circuit boards...bad idea! Glad to see your safe with what you used :-)

Can I leave it on or do I have to clean it off?

That board looks awfully familiar. Did we not repair some of those connection points some time last summer/fall?

Yah, that same one has broken 3 times already. Its just bad engineering for holding the connectors. I tried something different this time. I super glued the pins that are ment to hold it in place instead of soldering them. Also, the other connector broke too but thats the first time and I had no problem resoldering it even though there were many pins.

You shouldn't have to clean it off, but it should only take a second or two. Also if you have items coming off, things that have worked VERY well in the past... Cover the badboy in hotglue. It cannot conduct electricity, so no shorts. The downside is if the area gets hot or warm, cooling is a challenge. For more of my solders to a circuit board, I coat the first .25" with hot glue up the wire and directly on the board. Allows for a flexible wire still and less stress on where typical breaks occur. Might be worth a shot, if it doesn't work it is rather easy to remove.
