I can't believe that I missed this post when it first came out! Great find! Looks like it's time for an update. Hope you moved that bong...you don't want any crap falling into it when you're doing all that grinding and cleaning!

Update!!!!

Yes, i know its been a while since things have been updated, so here is the latest!!!
The car has been stripped of all trim, lights, badges etc. and is now in stage 1 of sanding and rocker replacement

95% of the interior has been removed

now i just need some advice on what colour the center sections of the seats should go. They are near mint condition, so no sense touching anything but the center's. My plans for paint are either Brown or Mazda jewel green!

Now i have to find a cure for cancer in the rockers and the Small area around the windshield

Have you got samples of the paint colours? I'm partial to green myself. What are you planning on doing with the door panels? Are you going to keep the ceiling white?

if new metal is not needed, i recommend POR-15.

thats a nice ride love the pics most of the time rust will come back your best bet is to sand blast or meda blast or even soda blast to remove all the cancer then a good sealer and that should do it but it takes time but if you plan to stay with the car it's well worth it i will ask at my job they sand blast and seal older cars for restoration good luck

@ Bass
No "in hand" samples, just a picture of the green i like and the Brown chips from the dent in the roof LOL
As for the door panels, I am pretty handy making custom FG kick panels for all of my other DD's so i am thinking of that but trying to keep it looking like they were factory like that! stick with somewhat the same pattern and look! Plus i have a nice set of components that would sound and work nice with the MTX Black Gold sub going in the FG box in the rear back panel witch can be seen one of the pictures below!!!

Box in the starting stages!

Maybe try photo chopping your seat centers to see what will work.

Dam,

I missed this thread. That is old school cool. I myself would love a rotary truck or an rx3. no space to keep something like that unfortunately.

Any more pictures? Love to see this car at one of the meets!

Looks like your wagon is in good hands, keep up the good work, most wagons in NZ are replica RX-3 made from 808's.
In NZ Genuine US spec RX-3 wagon's are worth aprox US$10K and Jap spec Savanna sportwagons US$12-15K.

I think I just bought this car! Unfortunately all its done the last few years is sit outside and rust. The parts are scattered and I highly doubt all are present. Anybody in Ontario with RX3 parts?

Mind my old posts in this thread. I was 16 lol.

Well, long story short. I don't think I could do this car justice. If anybody's serious I can get them in touch with the owner. Feel free to pm me.
