I dont know it all depends on the track and race conditions that day. It could be as much as 1/2 hour or as little as 15 minutes. I know they will do there best to make it the most funthey can as they have done for the last 2 years!

Wow if we get 30 - 40 cars out on the track that will probably be bigger than most of the grids for the races!

I will happily arrange a weekday Shannonville day if I can get at least 10 people to commit to it rain or shine. You have to prepay and can run between 5:30pm until dusk. If we can do that and get good turnouts, then I would take a chance on a weekend type event. Hopefully all who signed up for Mosport will attend and we can put on a good show. No helmets for Mosport needed.

Must people work during the week normal hours so a shannonville during the week is probable out of the question. What about the mosport DDT?

The reason why you are getting a good turnout for the mosport event is cause its free. How may people do you think would show up if you had to pay for tickets to get into the race let alone paying for the lapping.

Not saying that I'm not coming because its free either ( I will be there all weekend anyhow) Just because of gas prices I will be limiting my track days even worse and its not like I've being doing consistant track events the past few years either

My DGRR event basically chewed up my lapping funds but I will try and attend 4 this year. Last year was a joke. During Two lapping days broke my exhaust two times and killed a set of new tires due to my stupidity. O and rotors were replaced too. The last event (3rd lapping event) at mosport for me was bad. LOL It was raining and I was a scared little girl. DId three laps and called it a day. Figure cost per lap ratio on that one! thewird saw the crawl I was going at. Its amazing how many times you can spin in a circle. Didn't help that a wicked camaro or firebird (They look the same to me) spun and hit the concrete wall in front of me. (Note to self. It will be a long time before i will have the confidence to do mosport in the rain.)

Wow this is the most typing I've done in a while....

About the gas prices comment. My opinion on the matter is, do your lapping days now while its still "affordable" because they're only going in one direction given the increasing demand and the decreasing supply (as well as getting more expensive to extract the existing supply)

That Mosport rain day was definitely scary. I had my share of spinning out too except I think my tires were slightly more suited for it then yours Ian.

DDT is way too much money like the big track. It was just an idea, but the nice thing about weeknights is that it is very inexpensive for the amount of track time you get and how few people you need to make it affordable.

Dont worry about it we will have tickets at the dealership on Friday May 2. You should be able to go to www.casc.on.ca and follow the complimentary tickets link on the right side of the page. Dealership is at 2124 Lawrence Ave E in Scarborough, tickets are at reception desk. If you do drop by ask to see Alan and I will tour you through our mini race shop.
I just tried to get tickets online and the system is down right now but they are working on it.

My racing luck so far this year isnt good! I just got the schedule for the May 11th weekend and both my classes run back to back! That means I wouldnt be able to even re-fuel between races! Well it looks like will just run G70 for the day sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Okay here is the deal for Sunday. When you are driving towards the gate to get in, stop at the registration center. They will be open until 10:45am. When you get there they will get you to sign the waiver, give you your wrist band etc so you can get into and on the track at lunch time. We will have an area to the inside of turn 1 where everyone can park and meet etc. Because of race scheduling I will only be able to run one series that day at I think we will run G70 with the vintage guys so we can use it for a test day. I will be the last race before the lunch break. When I get back from that race I will jump into my Speed 6 and the we should be able to go out and do our pace laps. If you have any questions call me at 416-752-0970 or email me at abalinsky@scarboro.mazda.ca
