Ya mosport was a pretty low turnout, but even so there were still like 4-5 other rx7's that showed up and who never went on track. I have no idea what that was all about, but they didn't even park along side the other 7's at turn 8 even though they were told to and someone even came to get them.

I think that a poll should be created to know exactly who is going to come and actually participate in the lapping so that we know if we qualify for some track time. I'm sure that if we don't know the situation and the chances of us receiving track time is left to only a "maybe" till we show up and are counted, then even fewer ppl are going to take that chance.

Okay spoke to the organizers of the weekend. (each weekend is run by a different club). They are having the lapping time for marshals on Saturday. They will have open lapping on Long Track for 1 Hour and then close down the road course and go drag racing for 2 hours.

Officially it is only for marshals but if enough RX7's show up then they will give us some time out with the corner marshals. It is all very grey and sorta like, "the marshal's have paid for the time with their volunteer time, so they come first".

I would not suggest that anybody really wanting to get on track for a ton of time go. Anybody who wants to take the chance for some free track time and as a side benefit see some great racing, go. When you are there search out John Cormick (the pace car driver) or Dave Hilton in the Formula Ford Hospitality tent. They will be able to guide you on when you will get on track and for how long. I can't make the trip so you guys would be on your own. Sorry.

On a more positive note, B.A.R.C. racing club is putting on the CASC Regional Race July 1st Weekend. They would be very happy to do another RX7 pace lapping session at Lunch Break Sunday. This would be faster than what we went through May 14th, but not very stressful on you or your car. I just have to let them know the number of cars and the level of interest and it is a go. Might be the last time we get to go ontrack this year.

I will be racing that weekend for sure and it would give me a chance to burp around the track with a few of you guys. Who knows, if we all talk sweetly maybe Al will run around with us as well.

If I get my rollbar installed in time, I'm actually planning to do the Solosprint shootout during July 1st weekend at Mosport - http://www.casc.on.ca/forums/showthread.php?t=8101 Can I be like one of the cool kids and park my FC in your general vicinity?

While it doesn't sound really encouraging, I'll probably still attend and see if I can find my way on track. Anyone else going to join me on the 3rd?

As for July 1st, count me in. I fixed my fuel pump problem, so the back straight shouldn't be a problem this time.

.

If you are talking about the red and white 2nd gen and the white 1st gen. We got to the track late when the racing started and wanted to watch from corner 2 after went to the pits to grab something to eat and by the time we were heading over you guys were going on the track.

Maybe next time we will be on time

We will be up there with our 20b race car. We are using it more as a test weekend than a race but we will be there running the car. I might be there with my 20b street car as well.

Yeah, anyone from Ottawa still interested in going? We won't be there with the FD racecar, since we lost the fuel pump on the dyno, but it might still be a fun trip for all you guys with rebuilds

Just wanted to say thanks to Eric for telling us about this past weekends possible lapping at Shannonville. Other than the weather, it turned out great. We probably did 6 to 8 laps of the pro track and then another 15-20 laps on the Nelson track and they were still going when I left. Unfortunately I had to leave cause I threw an apex seal out of the rear rotor. I also wanted to send a thanks to the pace car driver there. He helped me out a bunch. Do you have an e-mail address for him?
