Alright... here's the scoop...

Ladies & Gentlemen,

As we all know the Meeting of the Mazda's is happening this Sat. Here are the proposed meeting points so we can all roll in as a group.

Guys coming from the West are going to hook up for breakfast somewhere in the GTA. I wouldn't know where because I haven't had breakfast in the GTA in over 13yrs. So for now I'm going to say the meet point for the GTA and West end guys will be Fairview Mall. Where we had our hookup for the Ottawa cruise. Here's the map with the meet point painted in red...(gta hookup.jpg)
Now, if you guys know where you're going to have breakfast already, please tell me so I can change the meet location.
Regardless, you guys have to be done eating breakfast by no later than 10:45ish if you're going to meet up with the rest of us at the Stouffville exit.

Now for the guys who are coming from the north west, you guys have 2 options. You can either meet at my place, or you can go directly to the Stouffville exit meet point.

Getting to my house is easy. You guys take hwy 9 right across like you usually do. Instead of getting on the 400 you guys keep going on hwy9 till you reach Bathurst St. Head south on Bathurst till you reach Wellington St. Here are some maps...(newmarket.jpg, house.jpg)
As soon as you pass Wellington St. you come to a light which is Kennedy St. You turn left (only way you can go). You then take your first left onto Windham Trail. You follow it till you reach your first right (you can't go any further because there's no exit). Which is Timpson Dr. Look for 189 (which is the red dot I painted on).
If I'm meeting anyone at my place I'll guide you guys to the Stouffville meet point. Again, time is very important. To get to the Stouffville exit meet point for the 11:15ish time, you guys have to meet at my place no later than 10:50-11ish. Any later and we'll be late!

As for the rest of you, here is the map for the main rendezvous point. From the south it's very easy. You just head up the 404 till you get to the Stouffville exit (it's the only exit after Elgin Mills... lots of cops on the 404 nowadays, so watch the speed!!). And as you can see from the map, there's a small restaurant on the left hand side. I see alot of truckers stop there... I doubt it'll be busy on Sat. So there should be lots of space for our cars. This is where we'll meet and wait till we can gather everyone up. There's a Petro Canada station on the right hand side, so if we do run out of space, we can always get some cars to wait on that side. (meet point.jpg)

From there we'll see how we're going to roll in (if we're going to enter by generation... etc.)

Do keep in mind the Mazda3 guys are putting on the show. And they'll have most of their guys already in by 11am if not earlier. Seeing as how we're the flagships, we're going to roll in fashionably late! Gotta make an entrance! I did tell them we'll be there no later than 11:30. This will give everyone enough time to see all our cars roll in!! Here's a map of the actual entrance and a sat image of what to expect.... We have yet to hear from the Mazda3 guys where we're going to be designated, but they tell me they'll have their own guys guide in cars to their appropriate spots.
As you can see the entrance isn't too far from where we're going to meet before the roll in. And the sat image displays all the rows they'll have for parking (circled area). (bruce.jpg, mom2.jpg)
Don't forget there's an entrance fee to the conservation area. And as far as I can see, the place is paved all the way to the parking area. But it's very bumpy!! So no showing off!!!

Input anyone??

Ian,

Sure, you can meet me at my place... Roll in with Scotty... As you can see from the maps my place isn't that far from the actual meet point before roll-in...
Gotta make sure you get the time right!!! Time is always a factor with RX-7 owners..

The only thing really worrying me now is the weather!! Stupid weather network is calling for thunderstorms on the weekend!

I know you guys are going to hate me for appearing in the 3... but if there's rain... there's nothing I can do!!! I could hitch a ride with someone if that's the case...

Lates,

Philthys brunch is Sunday only I'm about 90% sure

There is a Tim Hortons/Wendy's/Ect around the corner form me - Walkers Line

Its real close to the QEW with a decent sized parking lot

This would be a good meeting point

Is this cool with everyone else heading in from Burlington/Hamilton/Niagara/Milton- meet up at 9AM leave by 9:30AM

Wet weather upgrades make car work in the rain.

I managed to get Mazdee's to install some sort of coating on my 7 so that it can be driven around in the rain.
I think it was called paint or something like that...

Also, I kept getting wet when driving in the rain, but Dave gave me this great tip.
Roll up the windows and close the sunroof he said.
Since I started doing that, I havent got a drop on me while driving!

He also advised me that new for this year, you can get tires have these wierd grooves in them which channel water to assist with handling in wet conditions. I think my tires have these grooves so I shall be showing up rain or shine.

And finally, he stuck these wierd looking sticks with rubber lining onto some mechanical do-hickeys on the windshield. When you turn one of the ****, these sticks go back and forth and actually CLEAR away any water which happened to get on the windshield. Someone made a lot of money on that invention I bet.

In case you missed it Neo, you have just been pwned :P
SNAP!!!!

Your talking walkers & mainway correct? the only thing is that i dont really feel like a burger at 9am, and a timmies coffee just wont do. we need a breakfast place. how about Golden griddle on walkers and harvester? just behind the ford dealership.
Or is there anyhting on guelp line in the home depot/montanas lot??

I used to go to that Golden Griddle. Then they (and all the other ones) hiked their prices way too much. I vowed never to return after paying $10+ for a bacon & eggs breakfast that would have been $4.99 anywhere else.

Isn't there a mom & pop place nearby?

Seeing how we cant find a decent breakfast spot, why dont we just do our own things in the morn and just meet up. We can do it at the timmies/burger king lot on brant behind best buy. Have a coffee and head out????
