lower/upper control arm attempt

hi guys, i dont wanna pay 1500+ for control arms. i saw that moonface guy or company does the lower ones with what seem to be the stock ones. i have spare ones so i decided to try to do it to.
i started on one side and got the ball joint out and cleaned up the excess aluminium. i will posted pictures of the project also.
i have questions.
is there anybody who attempt it? if yes what ball joint did u used?
if anybody got ideas please tell me, because i want to save money and make everybody save money.

here some pics of my work on them. i used a hacksaw to remove a little lip behind the ball joint, put it on a vise and hit with the beater ( 4lbs sledge). after im using a lime to remove the excess. i wanted to use a grinder with sand paper disk but my IW brother ( also on this forum) (bruno) lol suggest me to use a lime, because i can go to far with a grinder and create to much heat. rather be safe than sorry even if it takes a couple more hours.

here the url of the pics : PictureTrail: Online Photo Sharing, Social Network, Image Hosting, Online Photo Albums

i will had some more as the project goes. im only working on one side of the car. when im done i'll show step by steps with pictures at every steps.

i hate paying lots of money for things i can do myself. if someone can do something, so do i and so do you!!!

yes i did.

its a project i wanted to do for a while. so i ask my friend Bruno what was his point of view and we share ideas, from building them ourself with round tubings like the nagasa ones or doing it like moonface or cutting the ball joint out and bolt or weld the FC lower Ball joint to it ( im talking about the lower control arm right now). anyway we saw that the best idea was to do it moonface style.

try getting some honda Balljoints, they are not as heavy duty as the FD ones, but if the diameter is the same might be an option

do you know its the same diameter? is it the ones you press in with a clip? and would it the same diameter of the upper or lower one. thanks for the idea i will look into it. as for heavy duty... i'll have to change them more often until i find one more suitable. thanks again.
