ON Looking for storage tips

Looking for some winter storage tips. It won't be long before the snow and salt are out.

What should I do for my '79 seven? It will be in the garage, The fuel tank will be full and stabalized. I plan on getting a trickle charger for the battery?

Any suggestions/recommendations on engine prep (fogging??) Comments on getting the wheels off the ground on to jackstands.

Thanks in advance!

I've stored my cars through quite a few ottawa winters.
Here is what I do:
1. Disconnect battery. I leave it in., but you can remove if desired.
2. Fog engine with fogging oil. Squirt some in the L plug holes. Rotate engine by hand. Squirt some more. Repeat until you got all chambers.
3. Add extra coolant. I do this mainly because I run almost pure water with water wetter in the summer, and I don't trust that for winter storage.
4. Make sure handbrake is off.
5. I don't bother with blocks. Modern radial tires won't flatspot from sitting for a few months. My tires don't even lose pressure!
6. I never start the car. I think it's worse to start it every few weeks and have it idling for a few minutes, than it is to pickle the engine with fogging oil.
7. Wait patiently until spring...

You car is obviously carbed, so there might be some extra carb tricks that I don't know about.
