Looking for an Automotive Expert to testify at a trial

I may need more than one type of expert. I am looking for someone with extensive knowledge in a couple of areas. You would have to have no criminal record and your experience must be documented. If you have never testified before it is fine provided you have good credentials.

Areas of testimony:

ABS braking systems - specifically BMW - You would need to be able to explain to a Judge and/or Jury how the system is supposed to operate and then based on a set of facts relating to an accident opine on whether the system was working.

The Cause of excessive Heat Spots on brake rotors.

The effectiveness of compunds to buff out paint transfer from minor contact from a collision.

The acceleration rate of a 1998 BMW M3 from speeds of 100-160km/h, 120-160km/h, 130-160km/h, 120-180km/h, 130-180km/h, 140-200km/h

Street Racing Culture - specifically terminology eg. "a pass", "fly-by" as well as the testimony about rivalry between owners of Imported vs. Domestic vehicles.

Knowledge of a 1998 BMW M3, 1999 Mustang Cobra, 1987 Mustang LX, 1988 Honda Civic, 1st generation Dodge Durango, and 2003 Chrysler Town and Country would be of great assistance.

The trial is scheduled for the 1st three weeks of November 2006 in Downtown Toronto with remuneration available on a per day basis. The testimony could be sheduled around your commitments.

If you or someone you know can assist please PM me with details.

I think this is a very important case to defend since it is the 1st case coming before the courts for a decision with allegations of "Street Racing" since the recent commitments from various levels of governments to crackdown. Your assistance would be much appreciated.

Thanks for looking.

There are engineering firms that specialise in crash reconstruction. They'd probably have such an expert on staff, or know of such an expert.

Got ourselves in trouble now did we?

Unfortunately those firms charge ridiculous amounts of money and the information I require is readily available via less expensive testimony.

And no I was not involved personally. I represent the BMW owner, this accident occured 3 years ago and involved 6 vehicles shutting down Hwy 400 for 6 hrs.

you cheap bastard lawyer!! spend some of the hundreds an hour you get from your client and represent him properly with a professional.

finding evidence from 3 years back is going to be fun though.

I'm just pulling your chain though about being a cheap basteed. good luck with the trial.
