A little OT: RX7 BMW BBK done
Finally got the bracket right on the money. Might only need to add a small spacer so the letters clear the spokes, I must retain the MAZDA letters to **** off the BMW purists. But I'm delighted to say that a small piece of RX7 soul (a very fine one at that from what I'm told) will live on in my E30.
Now I just need to order some hawk ht10s and figure out where all those shims and wires go

One wire goes through the pins on the end to prevent them from falling out. It clips in in the middle.
The two really squiggly wires I don't think are really necessary. But they go in between the two pads and help seperate them, they go in BEFORE the pins and the pins go through them. They'll pretty much only fit one way. The ends go in the holes in the edge of the backing plate of the pads, near the middle.
the shims go behind the pads inbetween them and the pistons. They provide you with a squishy brake pedal and less vibration/squeal. I don't use them :P

My brother has an E30 ('91 318is) in the garage that's about to have a E36 2.5L straight 6 swapped in. Maybe I'll suggest this mod to him as well. Was the bracket pretty straight forward?

Yeah it wasn't bad, just took a little measuring. Start with a cardboard template, then make one for mockup out of scrap, and use washers until you're happy with the alignment. Then take the final drawing to your favorite machine shop. Just don't skimp on material (thickness/width or quality - I made mine as big as would possibly fit [huge] and used 4140 steel).
