He doesn't have the ignition key, but he can verify the running condition of the motor?

Engine cranks but does not start(might be a fuel pump).
Blown engines crank over just fine.

how do you turn over the engine without the key? hotwire or screwy is my guess

When I spoke to him he said he "hotwired" it. I don't know if this car is worth getting or not. I live 2hrs away so its kinda difficult to get away to have a look at it.

$800 for what is essentially a parts car seems a bit steep - a parts car missing glass, so interior water damage, damaged front fender, non-runner...
