Just Wanna Say........
Sorry, I just have to say it and dang the flaming, traffic in Calgary sucks.
I was out by Race City at 2:00 pm yesterday in my nice rented Ford GT Convertable. I needed to be at the airport by 5:30. I drove along Glenfoot (?) Trail to Ogden, then up Ogden to Deerfoot then up that to McKnight. The whole stretch along Ogden was creep along and stop.......still stopping..................still stop, ooops moved an inch, then stopping.............etc....
Finally made it on to the highway and got up to 80 kmh on the ramp, then slowed down to about 40 kmh on the highway. As I pulled onto McKnight it stopped again and crawled along. By the time I turned left off of McKnight it was 4:30, .
Anticipating the comments about Toronto traffic, it is a ton worse, but this was the first time I have experienced this kind of traffic in Calgary. I mean, Toronto is the center of the universe, so we expect things to be tougher in the Big TO. I expect horrible traffic in Montreal and Vancouver and as I live in Oakville, I see it all the time. I just never expected it in Calgary and it was really frustrating idling along with 400 horses trembling to be let free in a town of about 60 people and all of them out to buy hay or something, (flame suit on). I am just joking. I really like Calgary, its grown so fast the population has outpaced the roads.
I am out west a lot and so far this week I have been lucky. I got out of Saskatoon before the snow on Monday. Got 3 inches in Edmonton on Tuesday (driving a Hemi Grand Cherokee), you guys know about Calgary on Wednesday, now I am in Vancouver driving an Escape in the rain.

I always hate being sent out to Calgary. I always have morning deliveries there and it's always bad traffic. I've been late many times because I was sitting in traffic.
