US cars tend to go for less than equivalent Canadian cars, although you do need to factor in needed mods (Cdn spec front bumper reinforcement, + the usual, and minor DRLs); US cars also tend to have higher mileage (longer driving season, or year-round for a lot of them), and sun belt cars will tend to have more issues with dried/cracked rubber, plastics, and seals. With any car this age, lower mileage is better, but more will depend on care and maintenance. Whether the engine has been rebuilt, and done well, is also a consideration - it won't necessarily need a rebuild at 80-90k miles, but it could. Were I in the market for an FD, I'd definitely look at US cars, but not JDMs - mainly because JDM's likely wouldn't fit my tall frame (less seat travel/shallower footwell), more than a major issue with RHD, although RHD would be something I might otherwise tolerate, though not really enjoy.
