It's BACK!!!!......Sort of.....

After having it apart in my garage all winter and this spring I finally got my Rx-4 back together. It has all new suspension front and rear, new rear axle with limited slip diff and taller ratio gears, disc brakes all the way around, braided stainless flex hoses, and a new master cylinder. Most of the parts are all from a GSL-SE Rx-7. I had to shorten the rear axle to make it fit. I also had Nismo make me some half inch spacers to lift the front end back up a little bit because it was way to low without. I sent the rear leaf springs to a local shop that added an extra leaf and re arched the springs to drop the rear about an inch and a half. The car now works awesome! It accelerates like a bat out of hell and it can stop too! The car feels way more stable than it did before, but it hasn't lost the comfort it had either. Kind of the best of both worlds. Just had one problem though. I thought I'd impress some friends so I did a 1st gear peel and then shifted hard into second at about 8k rpm. When i dumped the clutch it chirped the tires and then SNAP!!! I broke one of my axle shafts. I called Sam today and ordered some custom length Moser axles so in a few weeks it'll be back terrorizing the streets again.

Looking good! Hopefully you have it back together for the bcm meet. That was a great cruise we took. Those seats are awesome!

ETA on the axles is about 2 weeks so I should have it back together in lots of time for BCM.

Looking good. Can't wait to see and hear the car at the BCM. Those Moser axles should take a bit more of a beating than the stock GSL-SE axles so you should be able to show off all you want lol jk

It doesn't help that I had to shorten the stock axles so I actually had to cut and weld them. I took it apart tonight and the axle snapped right beside the weld. So I put it back together and re welded it tonight. The car is back up and running, but I'm driving it like an old granny until the new axles come in.
