Iron Twirlers in Ottawa Valley?
Ladies and gentlemen, I will be requiring the services of licensed rotary engine mechanic for my refurb project. Does anyone have any mechanic shops they can refer?
I am rebuilding a 1983 with a Targa Kit, I need to get the engine worked over and brought back to spec maybe to install a different carbaration system?
I'll need at least the name of the shop and where it is located, phone number would be great but I can dig that up. Thanks

Nobody that is Licenced as a rotary mechanic around here,That I know of.There are a whole Bunch of Lads that work on their own Cars, and some of them are Pretty good rebuilders and "port efficienados".Now In the GTA you have JIM KUTSCHKE (on forum) and also RPM(JOE) who is in Breslau. They are Both Good Guys that are Experienced in the Rotary Engine.Jim can Do an Engine Blindfolded...Joe on the Other hand Sends his out to Chuck Norris, who then Wraps his Hands around the Keg and Fixes them by Mental Telepathy!..Anyhow,I hope that helps.(in some Way or another!)

+1 for Joe. I'm actually making the trip down to RPM this weekend to get my interior, underside, engine bay and bodywork all sandblasted and re-coated (paint, rust proofing, etc).

In Portland, Ontario. 1.5 hrs south of ottawa on hwy 15. There is a familly there called the Hartens and they know rotary's inside out and have been working on/rebuilding them for probably 10 plus years. The dad and his 2 Sons Brent and Anthony are the guys to talk too. I used the live in Portland, my parents still do. Last time is was there they had their 2 turbo FB's out front of there place. One is red with a silver strip and the other is black with 16 or 17'' white rims, There was also a red GSL-SE that i think is Brent or Anthony's GF's car. I think they also bought a small used car dealership down the road further towards Elgin, Ontario. They might have moved there operation there i'm not sure.
For further west in Innisfil Ontario you could try Brent http://www.bscmotorsports.ca/
