Insurance woes, wont underwrite RHD

Can anyone give me tips one what insurer they used for their RHD FD/Skyline et.al.?

I'm currently with Wawaneesa now, 6-star record, never had an accident, impaired, or claim, but they wont insure my TVR since it's RHD.

I have to be fair, they said they would give me a 1-day insurance "rider" (w/e that is?) to get it to a garage for the OoP inspection, but refused to insure it long term for anything more than basic PD/PL.

Well PD/PL would be dandy if my car was only a $7k (landed cost) Skyline.... but it's not.... it's $22K landed and I want it insured to the ****.

RHD owners, tips or advice on insurers?

Did they say anything about getting an apraisle? I go through ING&Mckee and they told me that all I needed was an apraisle , to get full coverage.

If you want to insure your car for 22k, it will have to be appraised for that much.

Wawaneesa wont touch it beyond PD/PL. My broker also deals with a company called "Nordic" but they insist on a $5k deductable.... IOW, go get stuffed.

You should try calling Airdrie Insurance and talk to Hellen. She is kind of a odd older women but she is a great insurance person. I talked to her about my RX-7 and she said that there wouldn't be any problems with me insuring it. Also that she would be me 1 weeks temporary insurance so I can drive the car home from Van

Well, I have my RHD turbo vert insured with TD Insurance and they don't care left or right handed. I just had to provide an appraisal to prove the value.

TD as in TD bank?
Maybe I should look into that.
I do my banking there and maybe I'll
get it insured cheaper.

Thanks for the tips people.

which side the steering wheel is on shouldn't matter for comprehenisve coverage, but I could see an issue with colission.
