Age and math are a lot alike. There is something to be said about balance. 20+20=40, thus when you hit your 40th birthday it sould be in the company of 2 20 year olds. But, it's true, balance can lead to perversion, 48 divided by 3 = jail.

That's easy, darling... We are still very much physically attracted to early-twenty-something nubile, beautiful women, even if many (but not all) of them are nowhere near our intellectual equal. The same goes for 40+ "cougars" who prowl the bars looking for one-night stands with young, attractive sex-driven men with little or no intellect, so it's a two-way street. :cool:

But most of us (older) guys aren't idiots--- sure, we want to f%#k these girls. (Those of us who are unattached, that is, and unfortunately, maybe a few who are). But that's as far as it goes. Marriage? Are you kidding? The #1 reason most younger girls want to marry a 40+year-old guy is money. For us, marrying such a person would be the equivalent of buying the world's most expensive prostitute--- the sex stops after the honeymoon, but the expense continues long after the divorce. Any 40+ guy who would marry one of these girls is either desperate, stupid or both. :bigthumb:

Besides, at our age we've already bedded more than our fair share of hotties and know that good looks more often than not doesn't translate into good sex. Besides, men aren't the only ones with egos. The better looking she is, the more likely she is to be an egomaniac--- a trait we can tolerate, but only for one night. ;)

I lucked out. At 36 I looked 28 and my wife was 23 when we met at that time. Fortunately for me she's nowhere near as shallow as many twenty-somethings (guys and girls alike) because I no longer look as good as I used to. I guess once actual feelings of love (the real thing, that is) enters the picture looks lose much of their importance. I'm not rich, tall or good looking so the fact that she's no idiot and yet still hasn't left means she's a keeper. :)

Day-um. If only we could clone you. Maybe Quebec and Alberta separating would be the best thing to ever happen to Canada. Then BC, Sask, Manitoba, Yukon, NWT and Nunavut would follow. All but Quebac could then form a new country with a triple-E senate, max. two-term leaders, fair and balanced elections and representatives in the new nation's capital for each province.

Then, when we prosper and what's left of Canada craters, most Ontarians and maritimers might be willing to join us. Canada would again be whole (Quebec notwithstanding) and once again relevant. Same country, but with a real government rather than a self-centered socialist regime. :cool:
