I Aint No Ricer!!!
So I was at the Car wash to go give my rx7 a quick rinse off, and there's this guy washing and detailing his porsche, after i was done washing my car I was drying it off he comes over and says
Guy: you got a pretty loud muffler on that, my kid had one on his car but he grew up and took it off
Me: it makes alot of power
Guy: no it doesnt
Me: it runs 11.9's!
BAM!!! shut him up hahahahahahaha
then he wanted to see under the hood and we got talking, he owns a few corvettes and other cars, and has a garage with a hoist he barely uses, he gave me his card and took my number, he said if i ever needed a hoist to give him a call.
And he wanted to get me to do some brakelines and stuff on a old 50 mercury he was restoring.
I just figured it was pretty funny, Everyone under estimates FC's lol
Cocky Rich Guys lol

RUNS 11.9!............................................. .................................................. .........................................heh,heh!, In your Face Dude!(how you ya put this thing on Rinse?)
That's one thing I like about the Rx-4, it gets respect even if it is a Mazda. Might have something to do with the bridgeport BRAP BRAP idle too..... Most people don't expect it to sound like that. Good work on getting that guy to insert his foot in his mouth.

The only one that's ever given me **** about my car is my friends tenant and he just does it to give me a hard time. Otherwise it's been nothing but compliments.

Heh, welcome to the club.
Two car shows ago I parked beside a '70s Mustang of some kind. I heard the owner complain to his wife about the "rice POS" next to him and say something about "real power under the hood". I was dusting the car off with some spray detailer and then opened the hood. As person after person walked past his Mustang without giving it much more then a 2nd glance over to my RX-7, he got to hear again and again how it makes "just over 500 RWHP" and how "I can only get 13.00 out of it in the quarter mile, but that's because the tires spin through the first 3 gears" and that my trap speed is "somewhere around 120 MPH". Funny, I wonder what the cast iron carbureted block with 5X my displacement is putting out in his Mustang? Meh, I don't care and wouldn't make stupid comments about it.
Ignorant people are ignorant. Glad your guy turned out to be cool. But it also sounds like he has a serious attitude problem if he's willing to come off like a complete douche to a random stranger like that. I'd be very weary of working with him at all if this is the way he treats people.
The funny thing is, in traffic I seem to have few issues these days. Nothing like the sound of a bridgeport to shut people up before they open their noise holes.

I just did 14.2 with my 227 rwhp camden powered gslse last night. Had to adjust my launch though, first pull had a lot of tire spin with a 14.7. This is just an iphone video of it (crank the audio!).

So yeah, slap some traction grabbing drag radials on Aaron's and look for the 11's
