how to clean oil from intercooler, air intake pipes and TB? help plss!

how to clean oil from intercooler, air intake pipes and TB? help plss!

hi guyss,
i took off of my air intake piping and my intercooler tonite to poilish it
and it was filled with oil..
the lower piping of intercooler has lots of oil and same with throttle body but not as much as intercooler.. i think it is normal for fds to have oil in these areas..
but i need help with cleaning my intercooler and other pipings

yea but how i am suppose to clean the oil
use water, parts cleaner or sumthing else
can i wash the intercooler?

maybe a brake cleaner?
something that can dissolve the oil

so if water goes inside the intercooler... and i dry it later
it wouldnt harm it rite?

Why do you want to clean the intercooler? No it wouldn't harm it.

I cleaned mine but it is futile as it comes back. I just used dish soap and lots of warm water. Rinse and repeat.

thanx guys
i will use brake cleaner to get rid of the sticky oil and som dirt
and after i will rinse it with hot water and soap

coz the oil is going back into the TB

brake cleaner or a parts cleaning material will get rid of the oil.

i also tried to straigthen up the metal cores...

Gettting a catch can and routing all the breathing that goes to the intake may help getting rid of the oil. But then you'd have to empty the catch can.

where is the catch can located
i tried finding it
and was confused wat if take out some essential components for my AC?

Catch can is just that. It catches the oil in a can. It has nothing to do with AC.

Stock doesn't have a catch can. They route the breathing to the plenum with the PCV and some more lines to the primary turbo intake (where the oil comes from). It's done this way so the engine eats it and it gets burned and out the exhaust. If you install a catch can, you will have to empty the oil ever so often.

If you really need to get an oil catch can, a GReddy one is good enough..... Sometime you can find it in the classified section for $70-90-ish....
