Hey guys, a friend sent me an offer he found for an imported 91 White RHD FC turbo.

Looks good from the outside. Its at 92,000 kms, not so bad.

Here's the part that worries me. Apparently it was originally automatic and had a 5 speed swap. Just need to pick the brain of the collective experience to figure out whats the good, the bad, the ugly to this revelation.

They're saying the engine condition is usually better then the 5 spds if maintained right...

What was probably done to the car, to make it into a 5 spd. Was the turbo added too then? From the side it looks like it was a GTX model before (that right?) , was an angled pic so not sure on that.

They are so many fc's around. WHy not just get something that is in your area?

 

When doing a automatic to 5 speed swap you change trransmision, add pedals .

all Jspec FCs were turbo, so motor wasnt touched.

Probably they added a nice clutch and flywheel when doing the 5 speed swap.

I also used to have a RHD before it got into an accident, so kinda used to driving that side hah.

Probably added an exhaust too, as;

A) You have to take it off to drop the tranny.

B) The automatic has a slightly different pipe.
