Have a Merry Christmas!
Keeping with "tradition" I thought I would wish all of you Guys and Gals a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday Season.
I would like to thank all that "supported" me getting my car running this summer and I hope that next season will be a Super one.
I always find this forum to be very friendly and I shall continue to be here to help if I can..
I'd thank each and every one that I have crossed paths with during these years,BUT I can only retain so much "bull"..hahhahaha!..Plus my memory is fading so I would most likely forget ya anyways!!!.So I'll just thank everyone!..Thanks!
Peace on the Track and Joy in the Junkyard!
Best Regards,Dave/STYX!~

Happy Winter Solstice! December 21
Some Atheists in the U.S. have begun to celebrate the Winter Solstice
Happy Hanukkah! December 20 - 28
Jews celebrate Hanukkah, (a.k.a. Chanukah; "Feast of Dedication" and "Festival of Lights"). This is an 8 day observance which recalls a miracle in the Jerusalem temple during a war fought by the Maccabees in the cause of religious freedom.
Merry Christmas January 7
Many Orthodox Christians in Canada/U.S. celebrate Christmas Day on or near January 7 in the Gregorian calendar. This date works to be December 25 in the Julian calendar, which pre-dates the Gregorian calendar. It is a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, who is believed to be the son of God.
Happy belated Bodhi Day December 8
Buddhists celebrate Bodhi Day (a.k.a. Rohatsu) on DEC-8, or on the Sunday immediately preceding. It recalls the day in 596 BCE,*when the Buddha sat beneath a Bodhi tree -- a type of fig tree -- and is believed to have achieved enlightenment, thus escapeing the repeating cycle of reincarnation: involving birth, life, death and rebirth. A descendent of the original tree is the most important of four holy sites of Buddhism.
and sunset on DEC-23. Between 1996 and 2008, the first day of Hanukkah fell, or will fall, between NOV-30 and DEC-26.
Islamic Holidays in this season.
Al-Hijira November 26
Islamic New Year. Marks the migration of the Prophet Mohammad and his followers from Mecca to Medina
Ashura Monday December 5
Islamic holy day observed on the 10th of the Islamic month of Muharram. Shi'ite Muslims regard it as a major festival marking the martydom of the Prophet's grandson, Hussein..
Muslims' holy days are fixed to the lunar calendar. On successive years, the days migrate about ten days earlier as viewed on the Gregorian calendar. Id al-Adha (a.k.a. the Feast of Sacrifice or Day of Sacrifice) occurs during the 12th lunar month of the Islamic year. This immediately follows the Hajj (pilgrimage to Mecca). It recalls the day when Abraham intended to follow the instructions of God, and sacrifice his son Ishmael. It is celebrated on both 2006-JAN-10 and 2006-DEC-31. It is an unusual occurrence to have two Id al-Adha holy days during one year; it happens only about three times each century.
Hindi Holidays in this season.
Gita Jayanti December 6.
"Gita Jayanti" is the birthday of Bhagvad-Gita, the sacred text of the Hindus. It is celebrated on the 11th day of the waxing moon of Margaseersha month (December- January) in the Vedic almanac.
Hope I did not mess this up, and Season's Greetings to everyone!
