You'll probably have better luck in the CANADIAN section.

Luckily, I can help you there. Consider it moved.

You can't form an opinion unless you have had work done by the majority of shops that come to mind. Therefore the more shops where you've had the customer experience equates to a more realistic and fundamentally sound opinion. I like different shops for different reasons. One might be good for used parts, one for fabrication, one for tuning, etc.

A-spec = good for a pound of weed and some nose candy, Oh yeah and a bill for destruction.
cp racing = I don't know
Mazdee's = I have personally seen the results of his work and would be the only one that I could recomend.

Other than slow shipping, do you have anything else? I agree it's not the mark of a good business to delay so long on shipping, but it's a known issue and they haven't out-and-out ripped anyone off that I know... and I've yet to see anyone speak about their craftsmanship or quality of work (either good or bad).

Unless you have more than "they ship slower than molassas during a Calgary Winter", I'd avoid writing a shop off completely.

I've never used them, and other than smnc (who I've met in person once) I don't even know anyone who goes there, so I can't form an opinion. But "I honestly don't know anything other than they ship slow" is better than "avoid them like the plague for no reason other than slow shipping".

IF you can dig up firsthand experiences of them doing *bad* work (not slow, but poor quality), then maybe I'll take heed.

I just want people to be as fair as possible in their assesments.

Jon

Hey rx7owner, I built and ported a T2 motor for a guy up your way....he lives in the Soo lol. Infact I did a T2 convertion to his base model S5. Once the car was ready, he broke the motor in while driving back to Sault St Marie.
I've known this guy for a long time, and he's not easy on vehicles at all. When the car was still n/a, he went through 3-4 clutchs and at least 4 trannys.
So far he's pounded that T2 motor REALLY hard and its working great for him!!

I've also built and ported a couple motors for some forum members.
This winter looks to be busy for me, already a few rebuilds lined up. So let me know if you want some work done!

Huge rotary guy... he has this new custom intake manifold that's crazy. Ihave a pic on my camera. Just have to figure out how to upload my pics to my cpu. Anyhow between Nigel, Can Saf, Mazdee's, Mantis, Rotary Rocket, and a few others everybody has some great shops to choose from.
