Guys, help!

https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/air-pump-problem-help-needed-466312/

That's the original thread. Long story short, I need an air pump, Anyone relatively local have one? Also, if any of you have some insight on my cold-start problem, that would really be appreciated.

Oh yeah man, I was rebuilding my pump. Wasn't going so well. I got the thing down to a shell, where it would turn nice and smooth, but when I put everything back in, and I know its in there correctly, I verified with my not good anymore pump, it wouldn't turn right.

If your car isn't running, it's not the airpump or lack of an air pump causing the problem. It can only cause far more minor problems.

I'm not sure what your problem is, but it sounds electrical. Quiet possibly to do with a short or malfunctioning AFM or something.

I swapped out the BACV on the Dynamic Chamber yesterday with a spare that came with the car, I haven't gotten to test it in cold weather yet, but that should be tonight. I noticed right away that the idle was much smoother. Inside the old one, the thing wouldn't spring back like the replacement unit would. Its possibly that, I will keep you updated.

I remeber when my car first got used to the cold weather it would flood, and always at inopportune times.

Drove it home tonight, in damp, chilly conditions, idle was perfect, didn't die on me once. Will update again tomorrow night.
