Gumball3000
Hey everyone,
My brother has kept mentioning this to me. He would like to assemble a crew of cars to participate in something like the gumball 3000 but within Ontario, he really hasn't thought of a route. His T/A is currently not running so i'm not sure if he still wants to do it, but i figured i'd post this to see if anyone would interested, or if they had some thoughts they would want to share.
EDIT
He was thinking of going from Toronto to Kingston to Ottawa down to Niagra and back to Toronto or something like that. Ideas welcome...

Right... talk to me. I'll convince you not to. I was covering the Bullrun last year for SPEED and another website. How deep are your pockets? Do you enjoy the priviledge of driving?
It doesn't have to be illegal to be fun. You can make it challenging. Do an old school rally, you collect points by following basically a treasure map. Timing is based on the speed limit with rewards for finding all the necessary spots.
one challenge is travel back and forth down the 401 on a friday afternoon and try not to go insane and shoot someone!!!
another is to follow a line of 20 cars and a few transport trucks going 75 all the way from Peterborough to Ottawa up hwy 7. again, if you shoot someone, you lose.
how about see how far an FD can go on 1 litre of low octane fuel?

The route this year is from Montreal QC to Key West FL. Everyone is wondering how they are going to pull off the final leg because the only way in to Key West is a narrow causeway and by the time you've gotten that far you've pissed off enough cops on the eastern seaboard that they'll be waiting. Maybe they'll use an Antonov to fly em' over. I am waiting to hear if I will be covering it for Modified Mag or Speed.
