So, I have been hearing mumblings that the August 10th Event may be delayed until early October due to scheduling issues. If the event was held the first or second week of October, same rules (which are basically none beyond having a safe car) would that entice any more of the CSCS or Sigma guys to come out? It gives people an extra 8 weeks to get ready.

If anything happens at the event, it gives you all winter to rebuild. As well, it would be a great way to cap off the year by getting into your first, sorta, wheel to wheel race on a track you know well and that is slow enough to be safe.

Basic rules are a good 6 point cage and safety harness, race seat and driver safety equipment. I have a spare set if you need it. The races are 3 - 20 minute events with no contact allowed. The no contact allowed rule prevents major dive bombs and guys running you off the track into the wall. There is a chance of being collected if someone spins. Think of it as just like the morning lapping sessions at Sigma or CSCS with guys being able to pass you in corners or you passing someone else in the corners.

I don't know if this is going to happen, but if this delay builds up the car counts, that would be really good, especially if the additional cars are not normal CASC Racers.

I can't predict the future, but for me October sounds completely doable! I'm excited to run with you guys, looks like a load of fun.
