The red one is definetely Zhe's but not sure about the silver one. It matches Dom's old car with the silver one black rims though.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. You made me browse Google Street View for hours now, searching for RX-7's and other interesting sites...

I really don't see the point in this street view feature. Surely the topical map view is sufficient to guide someone. I can only think of negative uses for the streetview feature. eg. Crooks can make their "cars to be stolen list" from the comfort of their home.

Am I missing the point? Cuz I just don't see a worthy benefit.

It's mostly to see where your going as far as I know. Sight seeing for example.

I guess Aurora is considered too far north for Streetview to be enabled..

Good shot of the 7's!

Well they caught me and the RX-7 on June 16th. They did blur the license plate and my face, sorta...but why did they blur my ***?
I should've flipped 'em the bird.

There's your address too. Even if they blur the plate they still see where you live and what's in your garage. They should have to have a signed waiver before posting that information.

What you can see from a street is technically public view. Sure it can be used by people with other intentions but those same people could have just driven by the street as well.

this is far from an invasion of privacy.

All they did is drive by on the street and take a picture, something anyone could have done.

there are plenty of bigger invasions of privacy to worry about with this government if you're really all that concerned about it.

as far as invasion of privacy goes this is about as innocent as it gets, as stated above there are far worse

however, am i the only person who thinks its ironic that one thread below this one is a thread about a car thief in Ontario, who cruises around liftin cars and parts. I may not be the sharpest thorn in peoples side but what kind of genius posts his address and a pic of some rx7s in an open public forum? especially considering the joe cretis out there

i guess on the plus side the picture doesnt advertise the hedges and bushes that would make it hard for someone inside the house to see someone outside ****** with thier car, they likely wouldnt think to approach from the garage side to avoid alllll your windows... etc etc, but hey google earth made ya famous :P

I'd have to agree. I think this feature may have been developed for (nearly) half of the world's population to whom landmarks are vital and to whom a topical view and the cardinal direction convention means nothing (despite the other half's numerous attempts to instill such useful insight).

In terms of this being an invasion of privacy, I'd say that the moment you walk out the door or swing open your garage door, you're telling the world you have nothing to hide. Not everyone knows what an RX7 is and the few that care, or worse, the few that would want to steal one could just as easily follow you home from the track/meet/grocery store........had to throw the last one in there.

Sure this feature has benefits. I suspect the Real Estate industry really likes it!
Say I wanted to rent a condo in San Diego for the winter.....this feature could save me the hassle of going on a fact-finding mission and let me zero in on a handful that appeal to me.
