gas mileage for single turbo set up.
hey everyone! just joined the club and im happy to be part of this team!
anyway, to get to the point ... im just wondering if anyone knows what kind of mileage u get with a single? ive got an fd with a single turbo setup with a haltech e6k. city driving i think i get less than 300km a tank! roughly arounfd 280km.
does anyone know if this is normal? i dont even really let her rip!
i had a pettit ecu with the stock twins and i was getting a little over 400km to a tank which was bearable, at 12 psi. now with the f'n gas prices, i dont wanna drive it anymore!

T78 w/ power FC
I have an FD with a singlr turbo T78 conversion using a Apexi Power FC. Using 94 octane i get about 310km per tank city. & 420+ highway. 1600cc injectors love gas when you get into the secondaries.
I have managed 500km to a tank of gas. Mainly highway, with some city and high boost runs.
You can gain a lot of mileage by really lean burning your cruise maps (15.5-16+ AFR).

Streeport. SR Motorsports KKK turbo. Haltech E6X. 720cc and 1600 cc injectors. I only have an FC though
I used to get ridiculous mileage as well. Lucky to get 320 kms. The key is to datalog air/fuel ratio from a wideband sensor to the Haltech, and really fine-tune your mapping.
I have been doing this a lot over the last month or so, and my gas mileage has improved considerably.

Hey Evil, a little off topic, But how do you find tuning without the use of the handcontroller now that you're haltech??
Blah.. I'm lucky if I get 300km's on a tank driving in the city.. mind you. I don't have the self control to never go on boost..

Chris, I hate to say it, but I love the Haltech.
(I'm still playing with my old Wolf now and then....just today in fact, in a friends NA.) I find the Wolf interface rather clumsy. Especially when trying to navigate to different map points rather quickly. This is a real PITA with the handcontroller.
The Haltech will just follow the current engine loading and rpm at the press of a key. I know the V4 Wolf windows software has this as well.
I do miss the handcontroller's function as an information center, but I just always have my laptop running now. Gives my passengers something to do

I also have a FC stock turbo, 11psi, normal stuff, i've gotten close to 600 to a tank mixed, all Highway it's closer to 650, with minor boosting here and there, ok lots of boosting. City I have got 300 to a tank, stop and go sucks....
