Right, thanx Doc.

This explains the massive jump in Canadian membership on FDRX7.com

For a second I assumed someone was doing a deal on dodgy Canadian IP addresses!

All welcome, gents. Got all the facts and figures on limited edition ex JDM RHD FD's. Give me a JDM VIN, I'll tell you what it is.

Bathursts, Spirit R's, RZ's.....you name it. See you there, tell them I sent you

Oh, and btw....there is no such thing as a Bathurst R.

There were RB Bathurst's, RII Bathurst's, R Bathurst X's, R Bathurst's, RB Bathurst's, RB Bathurst X's and R Bathurst R's.....but no Bathurst R's.

As you can tell, with all these Bathurst's about it's important to be accurate with your description.

If bawschu would like to PM me the original VIN with photo proof, I could confirm exactly what it is.

Nicely done on your site, btw. Found it very informative and well organized. Yes, I am one of the sudden influx of Canucks.

Gomez, I'm just spreading the word. Popped on your site this morning and 5 of the last 10 new members were Canucks, not bad. Keep up the good work.

This will just prove it's a 2001 which I don't dispute.

No VIN, not a bathurst R, you can never prove it without the VIN.

The Type R Bathurst R and Type R Bathurst were based on the Type R of the same period.

The Type R was a 280hp car that was supplied with dual oil coolers, abraidable seal turbos, different ECU (part number N3G1-18-881C) and some other minor changes.

N3G2 is a 265 hp ECU, N3G3 is a 255hp auto ECU.....these were NOT fitted to Bathurst FD's.

The S8 Bathurst FD's were both supplied with blue Showa coilovers. The R Bathurst R had C pillar decals and a Mazdaspeed supplied carbon fibre look interior.

If it's got Showas, dual oil coolers and a N3G1 ECU, odds on it's a 2001 Type R Bathurst.

check this out the only left hand drive spirit r in existence.
Try one of the few left hand drive spirit r replica's in existence. Supernaut's spirit is a better interpretation than that. How many Spirit Rs you know have sunroofs and single oil coolers?

There are plenty with single oil coolers, none with a sunroof.

The Type C Spirit R's have one oil cooler.
