Yeah, I'm in Innisfil. Sort of between Stroud and Alcona. All my info is on my site. I can have it ready for you a day or two after you drop it off. Or, if you like let me know what year and whether it's na or t2, then I can just take one off the shelf and have it ready for you. Then you can just exchange your's for one that's done. It's $60 for the machining. http://www.bscmotorsports.ca/

Reviving old thread to keep the info together.

Looking for a shop in the GTA though.

Need a flywheel machined (S4 NA which is a stepped flywheel between the disk surface and mouning surface). I'd rather go with a shop someone used and can refer me to.

Thanks all!

Is that a new record? I had started one of longest running spotted threads in the canadian forum. 7 years is along time!

Lol ya thread resurrections are a byproduct of using search.
So no one with an actual referral in the GTA?

If this thread only got 12 posts in 7 years, you may be better off to get a piece of sandpaper,a micrometer and a bathroom scale!
By the time you get it in spec, someone will post!
(Eurodrive..Burlington..)

Lol, no way! Not in a hurry. Still haven't installed the LSD I bought from you years ago! Well mine's not broken and me and the '7 is a long term relationship.

Not gonna worry, it's a simple job, just wanted to go somewhere that was recommended by someone here. I'll just go to Performance Improvements and have the guys there recommend a place nearby. I know there are a few engine rebuilders in Etobicoke.

Spend a few hundred extra and get a lightened aluminum flywheel. Your car will feel so much better. Both your flywheel and your pocket book will be light

Lightweight is the way to go. Racing Beat flywheels have a replaceable friction surface.

I'll have a TII light flywheel and clutch coming up.Changing mine when the car isn't surrounded by snow.

Lol, putting in the LSD went into the back burner to life's other priorities. When it's cold and I don't drive it I don't wanna work on it....when it's warm I just wanna drive it

Anyway, just trying to get rid of some clutch chatter. Got a new clutch and will make sure not to hang the tranny on the clutch disk this time

That's why I want to make sure the flywheel is nice and smooth/straight/even. It's really the only issue with the car, but I want it near perfect.

Coles notes:
Update - got it done and definitely recommend the guy - SW Toronto area:

Rob @ G P Engineering
49 Fima Cr.
Etobicoke (Kipling & Horner area)
416-259-4600

Long version: Went to Performance Improvements in Etobicoke and asked for a good reference for flywheel machining. I figured they're car guys, although more of the domestic and muscle car type, but still, lol (and I like those too). Go to the shop and an old car in the back...I thought it was a citroen, later told it is an NSU LOL. Yes, don't know the old rotary cars at all....but knew the NSU had a rotary and held the rotary engine rights to produce before Mazda did.

Anyway, the guy's son has two 2nd. gen. RX-7's. He immediately told me the flywheel had to be machined on both surfaces (where the pins are) to prevent reducing the grab...I immediately knew I was in good hands. Cost: $110. Very pleased.
