The Flying Pig Returns!!!!!!!
I wanted to let you guys know that the flying pig (a.k.a. #23 GTB RX7) will be returning to the track at Mosport during the May 15-17 2009 weekend. Our plan is to run the car in the 3 Hour Sundown GP Endurance race. The car has always been a great long distance racer as it is so easy on tires and brakes and with its bigger power now, it should be a lot easier to pass cars on the straights rather than relying on dive bombing them in the corners.
I may also install my ginormous gas tank to ensure that we can get an hour and a half on a tank of fuel. I will inform everybody as we get closer to the date to confirm my co-driver, sponsors etc..... Heck if I can snag a couple of more drivers and some more cash, I may run both cars!!!!!

Sure Joe, if you will do it for free, LOL. My money for this year is to finish off the Cougar properly and then run the heck out of both cars at Lapping Days and Race Days. I want to get into the 1:36's in the RX7 and try for a 1:34 or lower in the Cougar and get some shiny stuff.
If I can get some $pon$or$hip, then I will look into upgrading the cars.
Before I can run the RX7 I need to replace the harness, before I can race the Cougar I need to rebuild the Transaxle, replace the harness, put on my new bodykit and finish off the paint on the car.
As well with the new speed of both cars, the Cougar is doing well over 140 mph going into turn 8 at Mosport, I am looking at getting a new Hans Device. It is a bit of a choke at spending almost $1,000 CDN to get one, but my neck is worth it.
I also need to get new tires for both cars. Both cars have 2 sets of Toyo's 1 Rain and 1 dry, but all the sets are over 4 years old and have lost a lot of stick.
