First gen starter interchangeability

Can anyone tell me what interchanges with what. IE 12a 13b auto or manual tranny. Thanks in advance. Cheers, Dave

I know for a 13b that you can't switch between auto and manual as they are different.
Auto and TII are compatable.
Some NA 13b starters can be used on a 1st gen.(so I've heard)

I'm pretty sure the 1st gens that came with a 13b injected are a direct swap? Plus I can verify that Dave is right about some 13b, 12a starters are indeed interchangeable, as a 1st gen race car, with a 12a perry has a 13b starter.
