Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 11.99@118mph!!!!!

Figure i'd post this here. Im very pleased with the time. especially since i just rebuilt and ported the engine myself.... it was my first time building one

I got some new rear kyb shocks for for my rx7, went back to sparta tonight
first run my bov was to loose and stuck open when i shifted to 4th and i ran 13.0,
tightened it up did another pass. 12.0083@117mph..... I was like are you F-ing kidding hahahaha so close

after that the printer screwed up so they didnt have any slips after that. I ran a 12.06 the next run and was pissed i didnt get a slip, did a run right after got 11.99@118 get there and NO SLIP! i was pissed!!! i knew it was a good run. luckily my dad got it on video tape.

he's known fletcher for years so he got him to atleast print out the time sheet for the night. but i would rather have the actual slip.

heres the video. my dads camera has trouble picking up the board at night, watch at the very end you can see it flass 11.99 lol .....****** sparta
all together i got 4-5 12.0 passes 11.99 2-3 slower runs where i messed up. so its pretty consistant. I need more traction off the line lol
I should just go to grand bend

here's another video of a 12.01 pass
this one you can actually see the score board. it sucks i wish i could see the 60ft's. the only 60ft i know is from the 12.0083 pass it was a 1.81

i have some bald bf goodridge drag radials 225/45r17 on heavy *** steelies. at 17.5psi
I was getting my best launches when i started skipping the burn out . they're sappose to be "no burn out required", they had the water all over from idiots. even after my burn out it still seemed like the tires were wet, and would just spin like crazy off the line.
the only 60ft i know of last night was 1.81
my best last year was a 1.74

you should find some cheap drag radials to try out, i dont get any wheel hop so its alot easier on the drivetrain. they spin a bit so its not instant traction but they hook up pretty good. I usually launch at about 5000-5500 rpm wait till it hooks then gun it works out pretty good, nice and smooth. feels awesome when you hook up in first and just take off
it'd make a world of differance on your times.
if you had 5 bolt i'd let you try them

I broke stuff at st. thomas with drag radials. I really feel like slicks are better - easier on the car, and they DONT spin.

Grats on the time! what are you using for an EMS.

also update your sig!

Tires are the only think keeping me in the 13s and not in the 11s. At some point I'll get a set of steelies and some slicks, but I gotta' figure, at 500HP, I'll be breaking stuff.

I got off work early tonight and went to the drags, did my first run at 8:40pm skipped the burn out, ran 11.86@118mph with 1.84 60ft, waited a minute ran 11.89@119mph 1.94 60ft , then i waited a bit and the track went to crap, i kept blowin the tires off the line and kept goin all sideways even when i would do a good burn out

i didnt get videos but i'll scan the slips tomorrow

Wow, All this on a piggy back system. Cool. Who did you milling for the 3mm seals?

My friend CHeer's on this forum built his own engine. I bought the car from him and this year I managed 700+km at Mosport DDT. Works great.

Anyhow is these hp figures I see on this list dyno verified? Did you tune yourself?

Anyhow awesome to see the time. Congrats.....

11.89 is fast. Don't think I've managed much under 13's lol. But I've only ran in stockish form like 8 years ago or something..... I did run once with the big turbo but it was one pull just as it started to rain and it was pathetic...

My jdm engine came with the 3mm seals, and cleaned up stock ports. I like to imagine Hon from tokyo did the milling.
I've been building up my car for time attack. i just like to go fast and its cheaper to pay $20 than get a streetracing fine i just sswap out my rear tires,

those numbers in my Sig are from when I took it to the dyno back in april. It was with a 2.5" down pipe, and the stock ports

I haven't made it back to the dyno with the new streetport engine and 3" downpipe

I had planned on attending some of the sigma time attacks, I held off goin to the first one at the end of may to go to the CSCS season opener June 6th, I ended up dumping my oil out on the big corner after the main straight and it spun my front main bearing. It was my first time attack/autox i didnt know the importance of an oil catch can lol...luckily i was planning on freshening the engine up and already had the rebuild kit....but when i disassembled my engine i found out it had 3mm seals so i had to exchange the 2mm ones i had so it delayed my build a bit.

I had bought my hks coilovers from luke.

I plan on goin out to as many events as I can next year.

Then keep me in mind next year cause i will be going. This year i did over 700km at the DDT. I want to hit at least 8 lapping days next year. The most I have done was 4.
