FIA Canadian Time Attack Nationals
Well that was fun. Lots of track time. Took a while to get used to the Mosport Big track as I have been at the DDT for some time now. Man that track is fast.
Chewed up my toyo's so new tires will need to be ordered. Need to grow some ***** and learn to hit those corners faster.
Did a 1:45.5. Slow all things considered. Didn't stay around to see the final results and didn't run the 4th time attack as I thought I heard someone say it was over and by the time the announcement went I was already on jack stands..
Thanks for all of the work that goes into an event like this... O and thanks frank for sitting in the first lapping session......
O and this was in my 1989 Stock boost stock motor.... Falls flat on its face on the back straight

So, all in all it sounds like it was a great event and I am sorry that I couldn't attend (I coach my son's soccer team and the championship game and party were this weekend) as it would have been great fun meeting with you guys.

I wish I could've went.
Did TASR take up a portion of the paddock?
Unfortunately a few last minute things came up on Sun, and I couldn't go anywhere.
I'm hoping there will be more events like this next season. If not near the end of this season.

We had some fun Sunday as well even though we didnt run the actual time attack. I took about 4-5 different people for some "hot laps" around Mosport in the race car (no one puked thank god lol) and they now understand why it is the fastest permanent road course in North America, and according to the ASN/FIA person there the 3rd fastest track in the world. We then had people bid on the passenger seats for our "mock races" that had the girl with me screaming everytime we drafted or went side by side through the corners lol. The 2nd mock race was a bit better as we had a better understanding of how hard to push and of course at the bottom of turn 5 on the last lap it was everyman for himself lol........stupid race car drivers.

Forgot to mention: Al, this is a unbeliveable mini event you guys put on at the lunch hour with all the proceeds going to carity at your cost....very thoughtful to all involved!!
Between the aligator lapping donations and charity races, there's close 2K that's going to big brothers, just for 1 day of fun for everyone.. Tuners, Time Attacker's, and Racers!!
Two thumbs up for Al and the rest of the racers in the video for doing this on their dime!!! They brought in the trailers, support crew, cars and gas for the day all for a good cause!!!
Awesome!!!
It was great to ride along with Ian, to see old friends and to meet a few new ones. I look forward to seeing you out again. Shannonville is OTA's final weekend (sept 10 and 11) and then plan on a great 2012 season. Maybe my car will be running by then ;-)
