ON Fast reacting AIT's....what do you guys use?

Hello ladies (being optimistic) and gents,

thinking to upgrading my IAT this winter and was wondering if anybody had experience with Fighter Garage's IAT?

http://fighters-garage.com/rx7.html

If not then what do you guys use and where did you relocate it?

Kinda tired of seeing negative air temps when its 26 degrees out...lol

Thanks!

Your readings are most likely from heat soak, the stock sensor is at the bottom of your upper intake manifold, you can just relocate your stock sensor to a place before the trottle boby(Intercooler pipe), or you can get a fast reacting sensor but still should be relocated.
I got mine from a memeber ( dudemaaanownsanrx7 ), i think he still sells them.

yeah thats what i thought, but im sure my sensor is probably toast since im getting negative readings...or is that from heatsoak too?

im gathering as much research as possible...and with the relocation/faster IAT, will read cooler and thus fuel maps need to be adjusted? im pretty sure it'll be richer?

thanks for the tip on the iat Jim

I just ordered one from the same forum member as Jim mentioned. Marco uses the same one and put it back in the stock location. I am undecided if I should put it back in the stock location or move it to the elbow.

Negative AIT's would indicate a faulty sensor, connector, or wiring. Heat soak just makes it read high, not the opposite.

I'm using dudemaaanownsanrx7's sensor in the stock location and I'm liking how its working there.

I contacted dudemaaanownsanrx7 on that AIT sensor. He believed it was the older version but could not be certain. Anything sounds better compared to the stock unit.
