cost me about $60 for 45L of fuel on octane93 at shell.

sigh... its gonna be an expensive driving season this summer..

 

Yup, I think we will be paying $1.50 per litre for Sunoco Ultra very soon.

 

I'm granny shifting everywhere... and setting the cruise at 110 or 115 on the 400 series highways to increase mileage. Ridiculous.

 

Omg, so expensive, Sunoco 94 cost me alot............

 

Cost me $77 to fill up when it usually takes about 60

Now I see its at 1.20

 

prices wouldn't be soo high if people had the option not to buy gas. you, how any ecconomy shoud acctually work, instead they make electric cars illegal on the road so that the oil corps can keep they're monopoly. and of corse the feds get a wicked cut of the cost of gas so they will never want to change it either.

 

Sunoco said to expect $2.00/L in June when I complained about $1.20 after paying.

Consider yourself very lucky. Today Sat AM its at $1.344 here in Montreal, Quebec for Regular Gaz. If I understand its about 20 to 25 cents less in Ontario.

And yes, I also heard it will be at $1.50 by this end of May or mid summer. If you look at Gaz prices last summer they were at an average of $0.96 cents here in Quebec. The diff between a barrel of crude oil from last summer when compared to todays prices its a 75% increase while the change at the pump is no where near that. Its about a 35 to 40% increase by now. It takes about a year for the prices at the pump to truly reflect such a large increase and only if the prices of crude were to stay high, and they have. It SUCKS!! Another 16 cents or so to go up.

Gas is 118.6 here in the lower mainland, probly about 1.25 in vancouver.

I say we get the world protesting gas prices. Lets go on strike!!

 

Anybody know where to buy barrel storage tanks preferably with a pump? I wouldn't mind storing a few barrels in the basement lol.

For those of you in Toronto, this is nothing.

Metrolinx (look it up) is trying to price us off the roads. Expect the Skymeter system to be in place by 2012 for sure.

cliffnotes: gps monitored tolled roads on every road on the grid, including parking, the system will be installed at the safety/driveclean and has variables for type of vehicle, time of driving, road (sidestreet, residential, highway, collector/express) and can thus infinitely adjust the rates.

Why do you think that stupid street racing law passed? Its just another deterrent.

Driving in Toronto between now and the next 5 years will turn into a privilidge for the upperclass, so either start making more money, stop driving, or move.

Cost me $110 to fill my Land Rover. I think it took on about 88 litres.

Crazy thing is, we're paying $1.30 / Litre for gas that when it was put into storage only cost about $0.69. We accually have a huge surplus inventory of gasoline in north america.

Screw gas, what about food prices? I have to decide between the shell station or Macdonalds.

does anyone on here actually own a gas station or stations?
what kind of markup do you get on gas. from what i gather from owners in U.S. chains, the margins are slim and the main cash comes from vending inside the station (snacks, drinks, car wash's etc)

 

its 1.18 here for regular (87 Octane) and we produce the stuff!

The company I worked for up north used to ship all the natural gas to texas to be refined. I commented on how texas gets all our gas. The boss commented on how they dont, and that its shipped back here to be sold. He also said one of the reasons its a higher price here is because its taxed going out of the country, and coming back in + shipping costs.


Or diesel is free. As we all know, its a byproduct of gasoline production. The crazy thing, with the cost of production, refining and distribution of diesel, it should only be about .25 cents a litre. Low Sulfur diesel does cost more because they have to find another additive.

BIODiesel, which my company manufacturers, is MORE expensive based on the price of Tallow/Grease, which changes daily like gas. Most NEW engines can only handle a 5% to 10% blend of fuel. Our Fleet (with the exception of the brand new trucks with the crazy emmissions system) runs 20% with no ill effects.

 

Bottom Line, someone is getting pretty frickin rich off of all of use common people who work. Bastards

 

I moved closer to work so I can ride a bike and save my gas for the driving I want to use it for as oppose to the driving I'd need to use it for.

 

Since when are electric cars illegal? You could drive a car powered by dry rhubarb if it meets the safety standards...

$195 to fill our F250 with diesel the other day, I forget what diesel is selling for, but its waaay too much. We get about 600kms to a full tank towing our 24' enclosed trailer too.
