Extreme custom 1st gen on Kijiji

Hey guys, not sure if anyone else saw this, but found it while surfing on Kijiji tonight. http://ontario.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehi...AdIdZ371233635
Its quite a custom job, but you can see from the roof line, doors and rear hatch it is in fact a 1st gen 7 under all that body work. Not much of the original Mazda seems to remain though. if the front end was a little different it would be a pretty cool looking car, but the front is just fugly IMO. Something seems suspect about the supposed $45000 written evaluation though.

I saw that, and to me that's no longer an RX7 anymore. V8 and the owner wants it to look like a custom muscle car, is just wrong.

Evaluation of $45,000 = "I paid the appraiser some money to give me an absurdly high value so I can scam my insurance company and/or use the value in a For Sale ad".

Given I had the money, I'd buy it, strip it, stock it, and sell it with a rotary in it... just so it wouldn't exist that way anymore lol

I'd be curious what kind of detail/modifications he put in to the interior.

I have seen something like this a long time ago. I found a website for a company based in Canada, that built these cars and they called it a "Python". But as of 5 years ago I could never find the website again. I figure the shop went out of business. But they had some details and pictures on the site when it was working. They basically gave you different v8 options and trans options. Also I remember they showed that they were using miata headlights.
