Cool efi or carb on 13b?

my 84 13b fuel injection, besides being a rats nest of vacuum hoses and stuff, is giving me a trouble. im considering a weber or holley carb kit. wadda you guys think...fix the efi or ditch it? thanks.
whats the power/response difference between the 2 setups?

Unless you like Tuning, and are familiar with carbs..then I would stick with the EFI..I'm a little Biased though.I have had EFI 13b's since the Start..Dollar wise,You got the System on there,it is working,Half-assed(why not spend a little and Fix it?)..Why Take All the stuff off and put a Gigantic hole into your wallet?..YOu can get Good Power with an EFI system.anyhow..my .02.

EFI! EFI! EFI! A very poorly designed throttle boddy is as efficent as a well tuned Webber. Fix the EFI system. More power, better fuel economy, better driveabitlity. It is the only time when actualy get all that for less money.

EFI EFI EFI. CARB=BAD (at least in your case)

Well I have a carb'ed supercharged SE and a stock EFI SE. For a daily driver, can't beat the efi. I had a buddy do the swap to carb and back again to efi, you cannot be the factory efi with functioning 5&6th ports for driveability. What is wrong with your efi?????

^^^ Im the buddy. I vote EFI. I been through about 10 different carbs on 3 different motors. EFI all the way. Its easy to handle with the rats nest removal and removal of all emmisions.

However, Carbs are VERY simple. 84Stock can change the jets in his carb and adjust the A/F Ratio in minutes.

if you really want tuneability all u need is software. The program is a few hundred bucks, but you can literaly change anything in the cars computer in seconds. The only problem is you need to know all that computer stuff lol. I still say EFI like everyone else here lol

i seem to have problems going through injector seals. also, maybe/probably related, when givin'er with a warm engine, the engine kinda burps, like a like its not gettng gas for a second. the vac. guage reading hooked to the engine is all over the guage. not sure if that is normal or not. it seems that simpler is ...well...simpler, and so maybe better? i hate the nest of lines and wires too.

Check for vaccuum leaks, and get an air fuel guage (preferrable a wideband, the autometer kit is quite reasonable). With this you'll see what fuel curve you are running. Maybe your car's old o2 sensor isn't working right?
