Dyno Day/Meet

Hey guys,

I see the "who wants to have a meet thread" and the dyno thread and I figure, why don't we combine it??

Now, if everyone could post up what day works best for them I can try my best to organize something for mid to late July.

I've also included a poll with things we can do!

As far as the dyno goes, this is just baseline to see numbers, 3 pulls, etcetera. Not for tuning purposes, more of a shootout! Please ensure your car is safe and reliable with no leaks, issues, etcetera.

Cost TBD based on what we do, what day it is, etcetera.

Alright! Who's in??!!!

My July is BOOKED SOLID! Any way we could push this into like the first week of August? Or what about the July 31st weekend? I really want to see what my Rx-4 is putting to the wheels after I tweak my weber. My new jets and venturis should be here soon.

I'd be down for late july/early august too. Which dyno place are you thinking of using?

I need more of a dyno tuning day, my tune is nowhere near where it needs to be yet, and my July is getting crazy already. I'll see what day you end up with and see if I can sneak down for it!

I'd be down for Buggy's date. Early August would work best. I wouldn't mind seeing what the old SA could do...

Are you next to Mazdees? As long as Dave isn't hangin around I'd be cool with that. Nice and close to Ajax so I don't have to travel far lol.

Yes, it is right next to Mazdee's and what exactly is wrong with Dave hanging around? (If he even had time for that)

I think the choice of the dyno should be based by location and what dyno is mostly used for our cars so we can easily compare as we all know comparing between different dyno's is a complete waste of time. I'd suggest Dragonwerks as well since its used by a few of us given by the fact that its beside a well known rotary shop and Jo is a very helpful guy. But it needs to be feasible for everyone so if you have other ideas, shoot em out.

Doesn't matter where it is to me, it'll be a hike no matter where we go. You guys pick the best place.

I didn't get along with him when I went for some work, twice. Kind of a long story and I'd rather let sleeping dogs lie. That being said, when I went back to bring up a reoccurring issue, he insisted he didn't know me from the first three times I was there so maybe he won't recognize me this time.

By the way I've been wondering what the proper pronunciation of your name is. Is it two words saying 'the wird (word)' or one word like an actual name 'thoo-wird'? - Just so that my brain can stop bouncing back and forth between the two.

When I came up with the name like 15 years ago (no joke), I was thinking of "the weird". Since then most people refer to it as "the word" so its now become that in my head too. Your not the first person to ask either LMAO.
