Dyno Day
Thanks to R.P.M. for throwing together the dyno day in KW on Saturday.
The Mean Green FB put 152.6 to the wheels. Accounting for 15% driveline loss puts me right about 180 at the crank. Not too shabby for a stock port, stock ECU S4. Those Iron Angels custom parts are doing their job!
The feat was muted somewhat by the big number talons that were there: 630 and 450 HP from 2.0's with stock ECUs!
I did get 5-10 HP from bumping the timing up to 40° and changing the plugs. Definitely feeling the improvements on the butt dyno.
Overall I am happy, we'll wait for the megasquirt and the street port before we try it again!

Yeah it was a great day!
We got a bone stock S5 T2 that passed an e-test the day before to put down 158whp and 152ft/lbs.
I also got my 95 turbo diesel Jetta to lay down a very impressive 72whp and 100ft/lbs, once we tweaked the injection pump and pulled the wastegate line, it put down 83whp and 140ft/lbs for torque!
Other highlights of the day was Brad Davis' 93 Eagle Talon that put down 640whp and 490ft/lbs and Adam's 99 Eclipes went 455whp and I think around 360ft/lbs.
One scary part of the day was when Adam's external wastegate burned a hole in one of the straps and made his car jump off the dyno! It was about half an inch from wrecking a $900 Volk rim! The guys at Forrest & Forrest said that it was the first time a car has jumped off the dyno.

Lol.. I was waiting to see if you were going to post up about the S5TII before I mentioned it. I'm pretty happy to be within 3% of a TII, an S5 especially!

LOL yeah, I was pretty amazed that you were so close to the T2's HP #.
Too bad my RHD FC blew the motor 2 days before the dyno day
I really wanted to get a base number before it blew up....oh well

Yeah, the old JDM motor couldn't handle the abuse I gave it all summer. Constant burnouts, drifts and douhnuts for almost 20,000km was enough for it lol.
Its parked away now, probably not going to do anything with it over the winter.
