I believe I had read somewhere that the only downpipe that will clear the steering rack on a RHD FD is the HKS downpipe... anyone care to confirm or dispute this?

I just want to be sure before I order parts.

check out rhdjapan.com, they only offer parts for RHD's. I you see it on their site it should fit.

RHD Compatible DP's will have a notch in them (you'll see it as sort of a dent) in the pipe.

As the gent above said, ordering the part from RHDJapan will take out some of the guesswork.

This wasn't a contradiction, merely a language barrier issue. (Quebec resident)

He purchased a downpipe that only works on LHD model cars not knowing that all downpipes weren't compatable. He has a RHD car.

try buying a hks to be on safe side
anything on ebay rite now is for lhd
unless it is hks
rhd japan has sum.. but they are super expensive....
