I'll admit that I've never gotten very good at judging the revs by the sound in my RX-7. For some reason I'm not very good at it in this car. I find it more of an issue on upshift. On downshifts I don't have a real issue.

As for the pedal position, I'm not so much of a fan of it. It was designed for midgets.

hey i was wondering if its the same case for everybody or just me, but the gas pedal seems like its really low to the floor and theres not much space from the original position and having it pushed to the floor. Maybe its because my other car had a lot more but seems like most cars should be fairly the same amount if im correct. Anyone else have this problem?

Please explain how shifting style is bad for your manifold.

On up shifting, there's no need for this because the input and output shafts of the tranny will automatically match speeds.

Since my second gear sychro is totally messed up i double clutch on a daily basis. Here's a good guide that I read through:

Ah, no and no. When they refer to rev matching they are talking about shifting WITHOUT using the clutch. Sort of the same way it's done on a big truck. Once the truck is moving you just pull it out of gear, rev up the engine and put it into gear without touching the clutch. That is what true "rev matching" is. Double clutching is self explanatory.

It's a 'The Fast and The Furious' joke...

If it takes more than 2 or 3 pounds of preasure on the stick, it's too much.... all I meant was if it doesn't go in, don't force it. Use a light touch, that's all I meant.

And by falling into place, what I meant was let the revs DROP to the proper rpm.... don't just rev up to it.
