Do you 365 it or not?
Most of BC gets winter, it's just the coastal areas that don't really get winter, and even then it still snows a few times a winter usually. I spent one winter in Kamloops and one in Trail with the car, we get real winter in both those places.
No Way
I put it in my garage as soon as salt shows up in the Hammer.
And that happened a couple of days ago.
No more Zoom Zoom for me until the salt is gone.
I don't know how some of you can say "it's just a car" or "you have to drive it"...
I guess I love it (and cars) all too much to even begin to understand their thinking.
Well, to all of you, good luck for the next few months, whether you decided to do donuts in the snow or to stare at it when the garage door opens in front of your winter beater (and that, my friends, would be me).

ewww, don't use Krown, their undercoating is ****!! may as well spray WD-40 under your car. Go to somewhere local that uses the roof sealing vaseline-like stuff. Go thick or go home!
And my FC is now parked in the garage for the winter, I just got one experience of winterdriving it on my 6 hour drive home, all black ice and white-outs. It was enough for me.

Your right it is just a car. A car we've thrown ridiculous amounts of money into and that we want to see a long term return on our investment. Ie: years and years of smiles. Last thing I need is to climb under my car and realize I now need to replace the floor. On top of that, summer tires don't do too well in two feet of snow. I have a 02 Sunfire 4 door for the winter, mostly because I'm afraid of wrapping the 7 around a pole. It's costing me a fortune in interest but it's all worth it when the odd mechanic gets a look underneath and asks what year it is, thinking, "how is there no rust under here?"
Absolutely if you want to keep the car nice then keep it inside, but when people are saying they'd rather freeze their dick off than drive the car once in the winter need to give their head a shake.
BTW, there's these things called winter tires, look into it.

Good point. I guess I would still drive it if it were a choice between driving it in snow and freezing my dick off.
And thank you but I have heard of winter tires, but that doesn't guarantee that I won't put her sideways into a pole. At least with the Sunfire, if I slam into something, I won't care as much.

I don't winter drive mine because it's mostly a track car. I don't want to buy winter tires for it (I already have 3 sets of tires and rims for it as it is - streets/wets, my good r-comps on the lightest rims for events, and old r-comps on the factory rims for track days/schools. Plus, really stiff springs and shocks make for twitchy handling on slippery roads, and a punishing ride.
I do agree rwd in the winter is fun - I'd rather have something that gets better mileage and is more dime-a-dozen though - maybe an old Mustang GT?

Wow, could I have said anything else that could have been more blatantly a joke??? Geez. You're saying people take this too seriously, yet you take seriously a joke about freezing my dick off? I really don't even know what to say to that except you must not have much fun in life.
SORRY guys. Given the literal decision between driving my RX7 in the winter and actually removing my ***** from my body, I would keep my *****. Just thought I'd clear any further confusion.
So now I won't be as nice or make attempts to make people laugh for a second. Anyone who drives their 7 in the winter is retarded, unless it's a piece of junk. Maybe you should have a Cavalier if that's how you treat cars. That's my true answer.

And OMFG!! Is anyone else reading this? Gee thanks for the winter tire tip; I just put some on my Civic today. I fail to see what that has to do with driving an FD, a classic sports car, through snow and salt. ?????? What a door slammer this guy must be. LOL Can't believe someone could actually be criticized for NOT driving an RX7 in the winter. If you drive it, good for you. I couldn't care less. Not my life or my rusted car.
of course parts of BC gets winter.
when you have to deal with -20 weather, salted roads, crap roads full of potholes, roads full of idiot drivers (ok, maybe that is common everywhere), days with 20cm+ of snow...i don't want to drive an RX-7.

^ That's a snow fall.... anything less that a foot is nothing to brag about.
Where I come from, northern New-Brunswick, compared to southern Ontario.
They drive in dry conditions like I drive in dry conditions.
They drive in the rain like I drive in the snow.
But when it gets snowy, they get white knuckles at half the speed limit.
Pussies! Learn how to ****** drive.
