Fortunately I have my transportation vehicle for other. My 7 is my current toy.
(I believe there are only 2 kinds of cars...toys n' transportation. Well, 3 if you count the ones I'd love to have )

Not even close. My 7 is a track-only car, so if it turns a wheel 10-15 days a year I'm doing well. (I refuse to do the math on how much it costs me per day I use it.)
As for the 8, that gets stored every year from around late November/early December until around April or so.
Have the truck for purposes of dashing through the snow...

...no. Loopholes do not exist in my thread! 365 or nothing!... lol
At least you check on it.
I 365 it, not because I don't care about my car, or because I can't afford a winter beater and store the 7 in a controlled climate garage. I do it because I refuse to drive anything less.

I did for years. The RX-7 is a fine winter car and a good point is made - you don't have to settle in the winter. The problem with the winter is that there are so few chances to use any bit of the car. Driving in traffic and slippery conditions means there are not a lot of sane opportunities to really give it.
It's a compromise between letting the condition of the car degrade, fuel costs, reliability, etc. and limited fun exposure. My car is no longer my daily driver so it wasn't a tough decision to not drive it in the winter.

Every day I tear up seeing it with snow on it. My other car was in a crash, and I'm waiting on money from the insurance company.
About driving it:
It takes FOREVER to warm up... and I wont drive it untill shes nice and warm.
On the other hand, less idling after a drive: Manual turbo timer ;D
I need a beater!

I plan on grabbing an FC soon, and all im gonna do is get KROWN to rustproof it, and then drive it for the winter... Ill give it a regular wash, but that about it.
A car is meant to be driven, unless it something you plan on keeping for a long time, then winter shouldn't be a barrier for anyone.
