DGRR2014 (Canadian's EH!)
Where are you guys staying :P Exams are a bit earlier this year than I expected so I will definitely be using my newly built FC or possibly the FD. I think my FC would be easier to use the FC as its a bit higher up and would be able to carry stuff easier bahaha. If my freind makes up her mind, then I'll be bringing her if not, I may have an open seat. Damn girls are going to fill the car with a crap ton of clothes -_-

I wanted to but I haven't even started working on my car yet so I doubt I could finish it in time. I don't want to rush it like last year either. Putting a 20b together properly in 6 weeks was no joke!
I still haven't decided if I'll hitch a ride with someone. I'm still thinking about that one.

Booked the second leg of the journey today to key largo, florida. Humphrey Bogart Film Fest going on so hotel prices were insane. At least I'll revisit the caribbean club the site for film key largo. The cabin is fully paid for now and I'll update everyone concerned with the info as soon as I get it from the realtor.
cheers. 3 week today!
Now the wife wants to take the 7, personally don't think it would take that long a road trip without some sort of major problem. Talked her out of it? maybe?
By the way took the 7 out today for a really little run (clean out the gas line) pissed and sputtered, not a happy girl at all!

Here's my plans for that long weekend...
Thursday, April 24
At the crack of dawn, head to the Windsor-Detroit tunnel. Roll down windows, rev up engine.
Bounce through Michigan on I-75.
Cruise through Ohio for lunch.
Watch the sun shine bright on my old Kentucy home. (It's a song; I don't live there)
Get past Knoxville and stop in Lenoir City, TN. Stay at 'Inn of Lenoir'. Why? Tradition!
It's nothing fancy; rather cheap, actually. But that's where my father-in-law, the snowbird, stays.
Also, there are about 5 auto parts stores, side by side, just in case.
Friday, April 25
Head to Petros, TN. to run the Devil's Triangle. Refer to link Devils Triangle TN survive this hostile two lane adventure...
Been there, done that, but worth doing again; clockwise and counter-clockwise.
Grab lunch and head towards Fontana Dam.
But gotta do the Deal's Gap Dragon, on the way.
Keep going towards Fontana Dam and find that little parking lot along Fontana Dam Road at the top of the dam.
Meet and greet the other Canucks.
Follow Reckless to cabin on Old Brush Creek Road.
Eat BBQ. Listen to Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Saturday, April 26
Go to the Nantahala Resort for the morning Rotary Car Show. Listen to the safety talk from Office Bear.
As everyone else heads to the Dragon, I'm going in the opposite direction.
I'm heading to the DiamondBack near Little Switzerland, NC. Refer to link Diamondback Motorcycle and Sportcar Route Little Switzerland and Blue Ridge Parkway North Carolina
It should take about 2 hours to get there. The inner loop takes 30 minutes; the outer loop takes an hour.
Then head back to Reckless's cabin.
Listen to Creedence Clearwater Revival. Drink moonshine until the sunshines.
Sunday, April 27
Hung over.
Maybe do the Cherohala Skyway loop. Refer to link Tail of the Dragon Road Maps
Clean up empties at the cabin.
Monday, April 28
Head home on I-75, cross over at Port Urine-Sarnia.Should take 12 hours.
(Note to self: Find the Liquor Barn, along the way)

Good plan and song list, I thought you were going down earlier! Our group is leaving Thursday as well, but heading to BRP first.
Great your staying the whole weekend, I figure I'll do just the "The Dragon" Monday morning before I head for Florida but maybe not as well.
But, I'm in for the Sunday "Loop" and hopefully with "No Hang Over" but you & I know better.

I won't be caravanning with you, but if you have any trouble along the way...
Cell is:
Four 16-Four 28-Zero 422
I'll have it on the entire trip and I have full US service, so don't be shy to call if anyone has any problems.

Were meeting @ Peace Bridge Duty Free. This a revised map

I don't believe we'll be able to do the whole BRP from Roanoke, VA, USA just because the revised route will take Total: 592 km - about 10 hours 13 mins WOW. I guess we'll have play it by ear.
1 week are you ready! All local canucks heading to DGRR welcome to join in!
