I have been looking in stores for denatured alcohol,and can't seem to locate any in my area stores.I was wondering if any of the Ottawa guys know of a "for sure" place to pick up this stuff. To let you all know , I've tried my area Home Depot,Canadian Tire and Home Hardware Stores.I would really prefer to use this substance over methyl hydrate.. I could really appreciate the info on this .. gettin down to "the time" ..as always ,thanks ahead of time!..misterstyx69

 

Just drink beer or gin and tonic like the rest of us.

 

My advice would be to call up some art stores in the area, a lot of them carry it though it would be more expensive, no harm in checking.

yeah, they put in some methanol and methyl compounds in there so that you can't drink it for pleasure, you just die instead...

er, well anyways. Dave, i thought i already gave you some suggestions on where to find them? didn't work out i guess?

they use this stuff as a cleaner for the most part...sometimes people buy it as stove fuel for camping.
it is usually sold in pretty big quantities...not like small bottles. so try places that sell things more as bulk items...

 

Industrial Paints and Plastics. Sometimes Lordco if your lucky, Chemical supply stores.

 

searched denatured alcohol and came up with a place in B.C.,I thought I had a line at the soap plant in Perth but they stopped using it when they stopped making Liquid soap!(son of a ..)tried more stores today in Ottawa ,using all angles ,furniture restoration.auto paint,blah,blah,blah...the home depot ..again..I think the girl that answered the phone didn't even know she was at work!!so stupid..she SOUNDED blonde!!lmao!!...anyhow I'm just gonna go with 2 litres of methyl hydrate after a real good run..no mods and see what I get..she's been running so good!I don't really wanna screw with it..ahve a warm fuzzy feelin..she 's gonna pass!I've read the forum for 4 hours a night..since early Sept to know what I'm dealing with..absorbed alot of info from posts and people..I'm done ! ....gonna bring it in for an e-test ..luck will have nothin to do with it..i've been studying foor this test for a month..I WILL PASS! (misterstyx69 is currently on his knees praying to the Rotary GODS!..silence Please!)...later!
