I might be there again with my FB. I've fixed the muffler since i blew the other one at the track. This one should be indestructable. I just have to see how thing will be going for september ... I was surprised that they're not offering discount prices for the people that went out last time and didn't use up all the time that we should of been alloted for.

Input Is always welcome . What was happening, is i'd do about 4-8 laps, come back in and i'd be down 1/2 - 1liter of oil. Check around the engine, found oil on the Drivers side, near the dip stick/filler cap, and mostly under the car(bottom drivers side). Filled it up and on the way home, didn't leak at all. Lifted it up and checked for cracks or anything leaking, couldn't find anything. So I cleaned it all up with Brake cleaner, and taped the oil dip stick(thought it might be shooting out there, it's really lose). Since then i've been driving around with no major oil loss, only thing i can think of is it's something under high pressure, or maybe oil only hits the leaking spot when flying around the track. Next few days or next week, i'm going to blast around a parking lot or something, see if i can simulate racing at the track (on a smaller scale) and lift it backup for some more troubleshooting.

I guess the Question is, do you know of any common thing/problem that can cause an oil leak like that?

Check the PVC vent nipple on the center iron. If your PCV is still hooked up, the hose may be split or something. But that nipple will definetly see some oil slosh/etc when boosting around the track.

What your experiencing is a common problem with the FD, if your going to continue tracking the car an oil catch can is required, and a new dip stick…lol.
My car spits out approximately ½ a liter of oil per track day, which gets colleted in a catch can, so again what your seeing is normal for a FD…you just need to take some steps to contain the problem....

The reason we are not offering discounted prices for Sept. 7 is because other then the last hour the entire event ran through.

What we did instead was keep the lapping rate and time attack rate the same but add an additional 2.5 hours for lapping on sept 7. Instead of lapping starting at noon it will start at 9am and run to 7. We have also limited the drifting from a competition to a exhibition. So drifting will only take up about 40mins throughout the day.

Hope this makes up for everything.

We should have a schedule up on our site late next week which will give you a a better outline of the sessions..

The afternoon was really nice ... you missed out on that Jim. Also you missed out on your trophy . Finally had everything tuned in when the sun came up though. Took my sway bar down a couple of threads, and the car has never felt so neutral before. Aparently I was second in place for my class, but i think only one trophy was offered because of not enough people in the same class as me. These result are all going to be garbage thanks to the rain.

I had a blast at this event, it was my first time at this track and I got 3rd place in street awd (pulsar gtir was my ride).

I know I could have placed better because my timed run was in the **** pooring rain and the wrx that got first had a bone dry track (he was 5sec faster than me)

But all in all it was an awsome day even in the wet, here are a couple in car vids.

Jim I saw you on track and the car looks FAST!! I was very impressed. I went looking for you afterwards but never found you.
