Crazy Ideas...
So I am heading down towards Toronto/Kitchener tomorrow (about 6hrs drive) and while I'm there I was planning to stop by RPM Performance and visit the guys at the shop. They do a lot of great rotary work and I try and drop by whenever I'm in the area since it's so far off the beaten path for me.
I don't have a passenger this time and I'm bringing my 7 instead of the company car since I'm on vacation and I want to show off the new swag. I was out in the backyard looking at my crappy spare 12a and was thinking "man, it would be nice if I could get this thing out of here so my folks would stop bugging me... But I don't have the socket to take the flywheel off or a space to work in"
...
*DING* the idea hit me. I'm going to a rotary shop, bring the engine! Ahhh... but I don't have room for another engine in my 7 and I don't wanna take the winter beater...
Or do I...
I present (for those who haven't seen it before), how to carry your spare 12a:

I had an S5 TII engine in the passanger seat of my DSM. And another in the hatch. At the same time.
and my halfbridge S5 TII engine in the hatch of my other TII to bring it home from RPM.

That is a very interesting socket... Looks like it has some sort of chain sprocket attached to it. What do you do with that?
Joe, check your PMs... There are a few small things I'm hoping to source to finish up a friend's car if you've got 'em.

sears sells a good quality socket for about 7$, My 100$ canadian tire air impact gun will get it off on a good day but the rented eletric impact gun does it everytime.
Damn! You have given me an idea. I have to pick up my black lab in Toronto. I wanted to take the 7 but hated the idea of forcing him in the back -- he's 70 lbs or so and it just didn't seem fair. I was going to take the van, but now I'm thinking about removing the passenger seat....NICE! Thanks for the idea....

I was there today and 50mm was the biggest hey had in metric, they did however have a 2 1/8 for $14 that looks like it will do the trick. It's also for a 1" driver, they didn't have an adapter in stock but it looks like there were some there before.
Yup, thats what I bought, I needed the 1/2" to 3/4" Inducer, and 3/4" to 1" thats fine to do, going down is unsafe, they tend to snap.
