ON Conversion

Aside from the usual "sell your car and buy another" arguement.

What shop in the GTA is capable and offers a conversion service. That being both the work and the parts necessary.

Convert a 93 RX7 TT from Automatic to Manual.

How much, name of places anyone done this before?

THanks

Why change, just spend the money on the turbo and standalone and you'll be way ahead. No lag on the shifts with an automatic. I have a buddy here who runs faster at the track with his 2.3l turbo ford running a 3 speed automatic than he ever did with a 5 speed. You can prespool with an auto as well. On the other hand, the 5 speed does give that sports car feel. All it takes is for the girlfriend to pull her skirt up a bit and you'll never want to keep your hand on the shifter again.

On a circuit, you'll be at a huge disadvantage with an auto.

Shops in the GTA that I'd trust with my rx7 period:
RPM Motorsports

I have no doubt they'd be able to do the conversion if you wanted it, though the cost on it might not be justifiable compared to selling and buying another. For a car like a Cosmo it's worth it but FDs in Standard are common enough that it almost doesn't make sense.

In any case, give them a shout. As I often say "anything is possible with enough time, effort and money" - if you put forth the money, Joe and Dan will put forth the same amount of time and effort they'd put in if they were working on their own cars. They're really great like that.

We actually have a JDM FD 5spd tranny sitting here, I also think we have a pedal set for an FD too.
Your probably looking at around $2K for parts and labour once the wiring is properly done.
