If I didn't have to drive out I would've stayed at home. It's so flipping cold the car almost slapped me for attempting to start her.

Isn't that -24C measurement the artificially inflated "wind chill" number? The real temperature being rather warmer.

Nope, this was the weather network app on my phone's take on Saturday's weather here in Ottawa. -27C on the thermometer, -41 when adjusted for "wind chill".

It was +9 here yesterday, so definitely cooler than the +17s we saw last week. Only supposed to see +6 today

I swear that mother nature is drunk. How is Calgary seeing double digit highs when Ottawa is seeing thirty below?

Cold here in the east too - not THAT cold, but cold for us. Warming up to like +8 this week though!

My trusty barn heater and space heaters have been working overtime in the garage.

Not unless it could open up the outer door to my Porch and step inside 5 feet to the inner wall where the thermometer is!!

So that -24c is not artificially "inseminated",,heh, heh.,,
It's really is EFFIN cold!

We had -25 (-35 with wind chill) last night and it's supposed to be +9 tomorrow. What is going on here?

I'm seeing that eastern Ontario, Quebec, and New Brunswick are getting hammered with snow; here, the first golf course opened. Golfers get into the swing of things with early start to season | CTV Calgary News

But you guys will have lots of opportunity to gloat; winter is almost never really over here until late April or even May, and a late spring blizzard is not uncommon.

Remember what I said about Mother Nature being drunk?!

Today was much warmer, not too far below zero, but Ottawa got 30cm of snow dumped on us in like 12hrs!

Winter. Bah!

Yep lots of flowers up, cut the grass a couple of times. Motorcycle is in the carport, was thinking about time to insure the RX3.

Saw the temps out east, whoooo! that's crazy, good thing the lights are still on.

Came home from the auto show Sunday morning last week and found near 3 feet of snow deposited at the end of the driveway by the plow sometime Saturday. Apparently it snowed in London for 16 hours Saturday. And 2 feet of snow in the rest of the driveway, drifting up to about 4 feet.

Next project after the Cosmo is EFI conversion to the snow blower with a Microsquirt and some forced induction...
