Cleaning FMOC

I'm just finishing up a mounting bracket for the FMOC and was wondering what is the best way of cleaning up the cooler? I'm hooking up stainless steel lines with earl fittings and right now, the cooler will be the only grundgy looking thing in there. Can you paint the cooler? If so, what's recommended?

Soak it in the ZEP Orange blast from Home Depot, it cleans everything, the purple stuff is a little strong, I have used the orange stuff on a set of housings and it appears to be safe for aluminum use.

Oh and you better be working on your car still, I'm working 6 12's on nights, so thats why I haven't stopped by, maybe this coming weekend, but I'm too busy/tired to do much of anything lately, we need to get that bastard running to finalize the cruise!! Oh and I found a place in Kincardine that sells Magnaflow cats cheap, so when you are ready to do that, let me know.

If you paint it use vht it works great on everything from calipers to housings and irons. I painted an oil cooler with it a few yrs back and no issues whatsoever.

Oh and Brian, I found two oil injectors for you, again; when I'm not working I'll stop by with them... Won't be this weekend, maybe next?

Thanks for the info guys! Nismo, I'll go with your source for the cat. My other source isn't replying to my emails, so I guess that I'll stop dealing with them for parts.

Brent, what is vht? Is it a brand of paint? Where can you buy it?

Alright, let me know the Size you want, and I'll order it ASAP, also let me know if you want shocks for the truck, I am ordering new ones soon. I can order it today, and it'll be in Tomorrow, I paid 80 bucks for mine on the truck, so you shouldn't be far off.

Call my cell later, if I think your source is the same as what I think... um yeah... good story then.

I've been forgetting to take my laptop back home with me from work. So I haven't been getting on here as much as I want. As far as the exhaust, I think it's a 2 1/2 in and out deal. I'll double check to be sure. As far as the truck is concerned...***** it for now. I really need to focus on the car and get it on the road. Oh and get this, my stupid insurance company now wants me to send them pics of the car before they'll reinstate full coverage!

On a happier note, thanks Nismo for the injectors. I'll have to pick up clear hose for that.

If you have any older pics of it send them those. My broker had pics taken but only when I first got my car, and the guy that did it just took two quick shots and said "see ya". Fortunatly the only money that has been spent, can't be seen

The car's still in great shape and they only want exterior shots so I'm not worried about that. What get's me is that on their advice, I've been paying for basic coverage on the car while it's been 'stored' for over a year so that I would have to get it safetied, pics etc. So now I have to wait while this is sorted out. My big worry is the fact that the car has some 'minor' modifications to it since first listing with them.
