Carpet dye?

I ordered new floor mats from Victoria British LTD. Now my interior that looked mint looks grey. Is there something I can do to dye the carpets? Were would I buy it?

Thanks,

Ian

yup, and you can already cover up the high-use areas with those floor mats

CT sells it, and i believe NAPA sells a similar product. NAPA may even be able to mix a specific colour for you.

or if you so feel inclined, there are places that will do carpet dying, primarly it is for home applications...

The stuff from Canadian Tire is OK but if you go to an autobody supply store such as Dura you can usaully get better quality stuff,

I had an old Miata that I had to dye the carpets on, they were sun bleached.

Use this product very lightly. Go over areas a few X and you can use a brush to work it in after you have sprayed it.

Do not use this product on upholstry.

Go to a fabric store and pick up some clothes dye. Probably a lot cheaper then an automotive store.

Just make sure it's rated for synthetics as most fabric dyes are mostly meant for natural fibres...

No time really.

I bought the carpet paint thing and tried it on my old carpets. They came out looking like new. I'm going to put them into my daily driver over the winter and see if they hold up.

Seems like a waste for me to have bought new floor mats. These things came out nice. gonna strip the interior and do the interior carpets. should look like the day they came from the factory!!

Sweet!

What do you plan on doing that will make your car faster then mine

I am still on the twin turbo kick, haven't really talked about it much since everyone thinks it is too expensive and complicated for the power gains. But I am gonna give it a go regardless, I'll probably try out megasquirt since they can run trailing spark now on the rotaries. $400 Canadian for a standalone is a damn good deal.

I'll still have less power than you but remember I shift mad quick yo.
